I am a Native American healer. As most of you already know,
when First Nations perform ceremonies or healing rituals, we always begin by smudging to clear the space. When I was called to intensive care units in hospitals and other similar places, I could
not smudge. I had to work through dense energy fields in an unnatural environment without my customary purification. Tough… so I got to work.
For three years, I worked on a unique blend of herbs, primarily Canadian cedar, sage and sweet grass and then more herbs as specific needs required. My research brought me all the way to France
to visit a great perfumer, who passed on to me, graciously, his methodology, and also to meet several scientific institutions to devise the best possible extracts for my project. When I completed
my research, I was astounded and in disbelief. The essential oils in a corn spirits base, literally a natural perfume, were more efficient than traditional smudging! I had trouble accepting this
in the beginning. Then a scientist explained that since the active ingredients in burning smudge are released in an altered damaged state because of combustion, the active ingredients in my
extracts and essential oils, which were in a pristine intact state, were thus naturally more efficient. I was still not completely convinced, but when I saw my elders start using the Liquid
Smudge rather than the traditional herbs, affirming this was healthier than smoke when indoors, I was really reassured.
I then told myself that this needed to reach as many people as possible. I went back to my research and perfected the formula, adding a purifying herb for each race: frankincense for the Black
people, sandalwood for the Yellow people and French lavender for the White people. The Red race was already well represented, by more than 6 sacred traditional herbs. I did this so the Liquid
Smudge could travel all over the world amongst all people and have the same effect on all. I then had to adjust the formula so the fragrance would be pleasing with these added scents. The end
product now has 16 herbs. Then I added ceremony to bless the perfume. Ten years later I still do that, there is a ceremony performed on every bottle of the stuff and there always will be. This is
what gives this special perfume its energy, a First Nations Traditional medicine process that encodes the product with specific intentions.
What happened next, when the product hit the market, was again astounding to me. First, people came up with all sorts of uses I had never thought of. The very first was insomnia. The first store
buyer I approached brought a sample home and put it on her pillow and left the bottle open by the bed. No more insomnia, no more need for sleeping pills. That comment came back many times, so
many in fact, that I eventually put this use on the instructions sheet. Every couple of months we hear of a new way of using the Liquid Smudge. The last one we heard of was a construction worker
who after a hard work day will spray the liquid smudge over his sore muscles. He says the pain goes away immediately. He buys quite a lot of it!
Then, the product spread and within a couple of years it was sold in over 10 countries. To quite a select group, mind you, mostly healers and alternative care workers, but
still this really was witness to the qualities of this unique product. I have seen a few other liquid smudge formulas over the years but nothing comes close to the energy of this spiritual
perfume. One thing that really speaks to its efficiency is that nearly everyone feels the effect of it, not just the energy sensitive healers. When I got my first loan to put the Liquid Smudge on
the market, I left a sample at the bank. When I came back 3 weeks later, I was surprised to see the bottle was nearly empty. When I enquired, the employees said that late in the day all the
ladies around would come looking for it. When we get tired at the end of the day, there is a lot of electromagnetic pollution that has accumulated in our energy field. The Liquid Smudge clears
this away; thus we enjoy added energy and a sense of calm to finish the day. I thought: if bankers can feel this and want to use it, then everybody can.
The most surprising of all experiences was at a seminar I was giving in France to about 30 people. The students had bought me flowers on Friday night, and we put these in the center of our
circle. The seminar was on healing and people processed a lot of stuff. By Sunday afternoon, the flowers were drooping. A lady stood up suddenly and said, "Look at what we can do with your Liquid
Smudge, Blue Eagle ". She went to the flowers, put Liquid Smudge on her hands and brought her hands around the bouquet. We all saw the flowers lift their beautiful heads!!!
It takes two months to make Liquid Smudge. The same time it takes to make any high quality perfume. Some of the herbs are gathered in the summer and their essences are not ready until the next
year. We maintain a very high level of energy in the places and with the people that work at it. For example, our company will never use machines to bottle this. People working in a beautiful
place with flowers and nice calm music will always be part of the packaging process.
We now have other projects of new fragrances in the making, and I have stopped travelling around. I can only reach a few people when I am teaching or healing, but with the products there is no
limit to the number of people we can help. I now have more time to write and compose music. I sometimes get jealous when seeing that the Liquid Smudge is more popular than my music. You might

Another project I have is getting my books translated into English. Only one is available right now in a very ordinary translation, American Indian Secrets of Crystal Healing. I don't like that
title. If it had been a secret, my elders would not have allowed me to write it. Luckily, I have kept my rights on the other 3 books and will supervise the translation myself. They speak mostly
of First Nations spirituality and healing.
We have just signed up with Quanta for our distribution to western Canada (www.quanta.ca). Hopefully they will be as successful at getting the word out about our products to the rest of Canada as
we were in the Quebec province. We are currently looking for distributors in other countries. We are located on the First Nation reservation of Wendake, the Huron Village, near Quebec City.

Last week, we invited our employees and colleagues to a pizza (vegetarian!) lunch on the theme « What are your ideas: what you like, what you don’t like and your suggestions for improvements ».
When I announced our theme, I saw eyes getting bigger and smiles arising... I realized that we don’t take enough time to share together and that this would be a beautiful moment.
There were 9 of us around the table. For this special occasion, the president, Luc Bourgault, and the vice-president, François Gagnon, as well as two new representatives were present.
Each of our colleagues had taken time to reflect on the theme of our meeting. The only absent person had left a written message with her suggestions. We were thus able to discover certain small
dissatisfactions, easily to correct, as well as desires that we responding to, small things like a desk lamp, a different chair, different working hours, etc.
We also took advantage of the occasion to present two new representatives to our team, Wanda Atwood and Raymond Gagnon thus got to meet the team with whom they will be working. These new reps are
going to take charge of Western Canada and also parts of the USA. It’s nice for everyone to put a face on the names.
When everybody had shared their point of view, they all turned towards me and asked me what I had to say! I faltered because I had not thought of it and what came spontaneously was that I enjoyed
working with everyone. In fact, if anything comes up I will communicate it immediately so things don’t drag and create bad energy. This most of my colleagues also do and I encourage it. It’s
important that each of us feel good and comfortable with the team. Our philosophy is that we must have fun with our work. We don’t want anyone stuck with some unspoken frustration in their
heart.
My most beautiful gift was when some people ended their sharing saying that they like and enjoy working for our company. As general manager, it’s not only the health of the company that I hold
dear to my heart but also the happiness of all my colleagues. This philosophy is shared by all our executive officers. The people in the company are more important than the money we make or
for that matter any other consideration.
A company with a happy team is a happy company! This happiness will communicate its light to the products and thus will reach our customers and that is a precious and important aspect of
our company’s mission.
